Ways you can help

  • Learn more about bats and share the information with others. 
    Fear and misunderstanding are the greatest threats to Florida bats.
     

  • Maintain natural habitat for bats by allowing old dead trees to stand, not trimming dead palm fronds and leaving Spanish moss in trees.
     

  • Put up bat houses to provide additional bat habitat.
     

  • Support non-game wildlife funds in your state.  Money from these funds are often used to support bat conservation projects.
     

  • Join the Florida Bat Conservancy by sending your check for $15 or more to the above address.  Click here for membership form.
